Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice describes what White County Busted Mugshots receives when people use the pages, search widget, or contact routes, how that information is used, and when it may be shared. Using the service means accepting these practices. Government offices and outside providers have their own rules once a visitor leaves these pages.

Information Sent Directly

Search Terms

A name, place, or other query entered into the public-record search widget is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. White County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own systems.

Messages and Requests

An email or contact message is kept as needed to read it, respond, and maintain a record of the exchange. It is not shared outside the private operating organization unless disclosure is required by law or needed to protect rights and safety.

Technical Data and Cookies

Routine page visits may generate technical details that help the service work and show where problems occur:

  • IP address;
  • browser type and version;
  • device category and operating system;
  • pages viewed and time spent on each;
  • referring page, when available;
  • visit timestamps.

Cookies

Cookies or similar tools may be used to understand how visitors use the pages. Browser settings can block or delete them. If cookies are disabled, some features may behave differently.

How Information Is Used

  • to keep the pages available, stable, and reasonably fast;
  • to route a search request to the proper partner tool;
  • to learn which pages are useful to visitors;
  • to locate and correct faults or security problems;
  • to display advertising that may relate to general interests.

Links Beyond These Pages

White County Busted Mugshots links to sheriff, jail, court, police, corrections, federal, archives, and third-party search resources. Examples include the White County Current Inmates notice, WCSO Records, the Cleveland Police request page, and the Georgia Department of Corrections Offender Query. After a visitor follows a link, the destination’s privacy notice controls its handling of data. The private operator does not control those systems, their uptime, or their practices.

Some advertising partners may track activity across different sites for targeted advertising. That tracking occurs on the partner’s systems, not as a promise that the county agencies linked here share information with the private operator.

Who May Receive Data

Personal information is not sold by the private operator. It may be available to the following parties when needed for the stated purpose:

  • search partners that process queries;
  • analytics providers that measure page use;
  • advertising networks that deliver or measure ads;
  • law-enforcement or government bodies acting under a valid legal order.

Security Limits

Reasonable standard safeguards are used for information held by the private operator. No internet-connected system is completely secure, and no promise can be made that data will never be lost, intercepted, or exposed. Visitors should avoid sending sensitive information when a government office can receive the request directly.

Visitors Under 18

The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us route to ask that it be reviewed and deleted where appropriate.

Choices and Data Rights

Subject to applicable limits, a person may ask for:

  • a copy of personal data held by the private operator;
  • correction of inaccurate information;
  • deletion of information that no longer needs to be retained;
  • an opt-out from certain processing, such as some analytics or advertising activity.

Requests should identify the information and the email or message that created it. Requests about a sheriff, jail, court, or police record must go to that public custodian.

Changes to This Notice

This Privacy Notice may be revised as the service, tools, or legal requirements change. The updated version will be posted here with a new effective date or other visible update marker. Continued use after an update means the revised notice applies to future use.
